Swan Castable Base for Portaforge

Swan Castable Base for portable gas forges.

Fire cement for relining the base of a gas forge.

Tub weighs approximately 5.1kg.

Instructions:

The DURA-BASE comes ready mixed, but if left open it may dry out and will require re-mixing with water to reach its original paste-like consistency.

• Remove all old tiles or DURA-BASE from the Forge and remove any dust with a vacuum cleaner
• Then dampen the Forge base lining
• Following the contour of the Forge, paste in the DURA-BASE mixture covering the base to a thickness of approximately 15mm (excessive thickness will increase heat up time of forge)
• Once the application is complete, turn the Forge on for 30mins to a low setting (1 bar pressure). The DURA-BASE will harden and the Forge will be ready for use
